New Roof Tar Smell In House

We ve been noticing a smell from the roof on hot days kind of like asphalt or tar.

My guess is maybe it s the insulation or whatnot. There seemed to be no ill effect on the animals at the time 1 cham 1 leo an assortment of fish newts and frog. From what pets you have to what laundry detergent you use every house and family has a signature smell. I leave the house and come back to a wall of awful stench.

It s been days of us breathing in this toxic smell. This smell is because of the sealants on the asphalt shingles that naturally melt and set the shingles in place. Leaving the house open all night and a special 40 air conditioner filter diminished the odor greatly though the smell is worsening as the day warms up. An hour ago i believed i didn t make a terrible decision that will exacerbate my migraine attacks.

Has anyone else out there had a similar experience. Then in the afternoon after the outside of the house gets good and hot the inside has a strong asphalt type smell which hurts my throat.
