New Roof Has Ripples In It

They used peal and stick underlayment.

New roof has ripples in it. I could see nothing from the attic as the insulation baffles covered the area in all. This is a new install on a 20 year old house. Should the roof have so many ripples. Contractor stated it was normal because no roof is completely flat.

Anyone have any ideas or seem this before. This could be a sign of a bigger problem in the future. I m concerned they over tightened the screws or the material is not correct. When some of the crowns are up and some are down then the roof has a wavy look but it is still structurally sound.
