My Pool Cleaner Is Not Moving

My hayward pool vac wasn t moving so i replaced the a frame and turbine kit.

My pool cleaner is not moving. A common problem with automatic pool cleaners is they simply stop moving. You wait a few minutes to see if it ll restart on its own but no it continues to sit there waiting to be rescued. There it is happily vacuuming the bottom of your pool when it suddenly just stops. Pressure cleaners will usually have a setting that allows you to increase or decrease the flow to the cleaner powering the movement of the cleaner around the pool.

This can be found at the wall or at the rear of the cleaner body. It now only stays in one section of the pool. If the vacuum doesn t seem to be doing its job the problem is usually easy to fix. You also need a vacuum when you flock the pool to get rid of sediment that s making the water cloudy.

Make sure that the cleaner itself is not clogged with debris that is limiting the flapper from moving. If you have a pool it will inevitably collect debris such as leaves sticks and dead insects and when these fall to the bottom you need a working pool vacuum to remove them. Even if you clean the filter a test you can do is if you have a sand or de filter you can put the valve on recirculate and run the system. Turn off the equipment and then take off the kreepy krauly from the pool and start inspecting small debris.

Also a dirty filter will prevent the cleaner from moving. It now only stays in one section of the pool. Additionally if you find your pool vacuum not moving check the hose segments to make certain there are no air leaks where the hose sections meet together. Suction cleaners also need a clean pool filter to both move and vacuum well.

A small stick a toy or even a piece of clothing can easily get trapped in the flapper that can cause it to stop moving. A handful of problems may cause this stalling out. If you notice air in your pump strainer you want to get that fixed and that should correct the problem with the cleaner moving. If your pool cleaner is moving around the pool normally but is not picking up debris the normal solution is to clear the clog in the suction throat or empty the debris bag or basket.

No matter where i move it it always makes it way back to the same section and does circles in that area.
